For over 70 years, Luxor has grown and transformed as a strategic family of brands, all made stronger by our trusted network of partners and customers, like you. Since joining Luxor, SideTrak has evolved to better serve our customers under a shared vision of greater harmony between people, productivity, and technology. Every hero has an origin story

It all started with a cardboard box. 

On New Year’s Day in 2012, our founder Day Martin was on her way to the gym when she was in a car accident. She suffered minor back pain, making her uncomfortable sitting at work all day. An inventor at heart, Day built a makeshift standing desk out of cardboard boxes to help alleviate the discomfort. As a result of standing, she felt her back pain start to disappear.  

Coworkers began to take notice. Soon enough, they were asking for standing desks of their own. It was then that Day decided to use her savings to start her own standing desk company. 

That same year, Stand Steady was born. 

Each Stand Steady purchase comes with a 5-year warranty.

We’ve come a long way since our cardboard box days in 2012, evolving into a one-stop-shop for all your workday needs - challenging assumptions and going against the current to bring you a memorable experience. Like us, the modern workspace is always growing to better fit the needs of workers like you. And as we grew, we knew we needed to find a mascot that was sure to make a splash.  

Enter the narwhal -the unicorn of the sea, if you will - and the embodiment of everything Stand Steady. Like us, the narwhal has been a labor of love, evolving from a simple sketch on a notebook into the bubbly underwater brand ambassador you see today.
